I'm old school and just use a spreadsheet with a tab for each vehicle I own. Additional tabs for maintenance part numbers, battery load test numbers, etc.

Do you mind sharing it?

I'm trying to figure out what the point of VINWiki is. It seems like it's mostly people posting about cars they've seen, spotted, or rented??

Just keep your records. Use your mobile device to capture documents and keep notes. It’s easier than you think.
