I have a 2025 rubicon x package with the m220 rear full float axle and am looking to replace my rear axle shafts. all it seems that i can find for replacements are the rcv rear axle shafts. it seems strange that a company like revolution wouldnt have something out for these new full float rear axles yet. am i missing something? there has to be other options out there besides RCV??

RCV are the only ones I could find also. I'm still waiting for my fronts from Revolution. I've been waiting since the end of October. I'm assuming that once they release them they will release the rears soon after. I think $1500 for the RCV ones is outrageous for two double splined shafts. But I guess when you are the only game in town you can sell them for whatever you want.

I mean don’t get me wrong, I believe RCV makes a great quality product and I will be using their front shafts. I was just surprised to not find anything besides RCV for the rear yet.

I've never used them but I'm sure RCV's are quality stuff but I know Revolution is too and I can get them and have them installed for cheaper than the RCV axle shafts. Also I just can't get past the orange "balls". My Jeep is Sarge Green with red leather seats and I think the orange would look funny.

Maybe you should go back to whoever custom built the M220 with full floating axles.

I thought the whole point of full-float axles is that (similar to cast iron knuckles in the front) the brunt of the abuse is borne by the end of the tube, rather than by the shaft itself, no? If that’s true, then the rear half-shaft is no longer the weakest link in the chain, and thus it becomes a fairly obscure replacement part. For the same reason, car graveyards should be lousy with them eventually.

Is there a way to convert a semi-float rear axle in a 2022 Rubicon to a full-float rear axle in a 2024+ Rubicon? Does anyone make a kit for that, or does it require a whole new axle assembly?

I'm getting ready to pop for a set of RCV axle shafts for my 2022 392, and if I could convert to a full-float rear axle at the same time it would be nice.

I’m not quite there yet, but I’m interested in this as well.

Show me a part number or a even a link to a full floating M220 axle.
The production model of the M220 is a semi-floating axle.
I'm pretty sure in order to get a production model a full-floating axle you need to move up to the Dana 60.
At least under my rock the difference between Full and semi floating axles is huge.

Quote and link to Jeep press release announcing the full float axle:
Now, Wrangler customers can get full-float axles, typically found on heavy-duty commercial trucks, straight from the factory. Wrangler Rubicon’s first full-float rear axle design consists of a wheel hub assembly that is separate from the axle shaft, with a spindle bolted to the axle tube that supports the wheel hub via a pair of wheel bearings.
