Am I the only one that thinks there shine more engagement in the tapers than this? AEV wheels, factory lugs, 100% have always been torqued by hand. There is less than 1/16” of the taper the lugs are sitting on. This is the spare but all 5 are like this.

I was thinking the same thing when installing my Trail Ready bead locks...less material to engage when compared to the factory wheels for sure.

I was thinking the same thing when installing my Trail Ready bead locks...less material to engage when compared to the factory wheels for sure.
It's a bit nerve wracking especially since these larger lugs require 130 ft. lbs of torque on such a small surface area :(

Granted it's being clamped by 5 nuts, but still, sure seems like they should have a much larger seat.

The bottom of the lug was bottoming out in the taper of the rim before the full surface of the taper met the rim. I took .20 or so off the bottom of the lugs and used some pattern paint to see where they were touching afterwards. The full width of the taper is now hitting the rim.
