Hey everyone. I'm about to put some universal winter steel wheels on my 2022 JLU Willy's. Is there a center cap to cover the hub that you can buy? Would the ones for the stock steelies fit?

I'd like to be able to cover the hub to help keep the road salt off.

You'll need to measure the size of the hole, then see what's available. I've done this a few times with aftermarket wheels. If you're lucky, Jeep makes it in that particular size. If you're not, ebay has plenty of universal center caps in various sizes and emblems to make your own.

Summit Racing has a large selection. Like Z stated... measure the center bore and translate. The steel wheel needs to have a recessed lip to allow the center cap and not all center caps are created equal. Need to be sure the center cap doesn't stop the wheel from collapsing. or your lug nuts won't hold it tight.

So I assume you are talking a wheel like this if I want to put a hub center cap on from behind the wheel (see pic). I was originally thinking of something more like what the stock Jeep steelies use that gets held on by the nuts.

See how the center bore I.D. is flanged up? That allows a center cap to go behind that section and you're fine with that setup. If you look farther out around the bolt pattern there are punched sections that seat the wheel to the hub. When you torque down the lug nuts you're pulling those sections tight to the wheel hub. If you put a center cap in the center bore and it stops the wheel from pulling tight you'll have problems. Not all center caps are created equal so make sure whatever center cap you get seats in the allotted flange area without stopping the wheel from seating.
