I was originally looking at getting a Rubicon, but I would never use it to it's potential. Looks like a Sahara Moab would fit my needs. I found a 2019, with all the options I would want, and it's only got 9800 miles, for 39K. The kicker is, it has a Lemon Title, looks like it was an Engine Oil Leak, and the rear main seal was replaced after the buy back. Would you guys buy a lemon, knowing what the problem was and it was fixed? Or would you be shooting yourself in the foot with resale value.

Nope.

The Moab trim is nice - it's what I would've ordered had it been available. You can piece it together with a regular Sahara pretty easily though, tbh.

Not to be a jerk, but this is really not true. The Sahara MOAB came with the Limited Slip Differential, which is no longer available, and it also came with the full-time 4wd option which is also no longer available unless you get the Rubicon X or the 4XE.

You could still “build” a Moab as rcadden said. Just find a Sahara that has those options no longer offered and then build the exterior the same. Moab’s are also dropping in price, as are all wranglers. Last year I wouldn’t see a Moab drop below 37k in price. Now there is one at 30.3k with 49 k miles. A Punkn one with 53k miles finally sold after like 90 plus days for around 33-34k.

There are still plenty others at higher prices but they will drop just like all the others have unless some idiot does no homework and just pays. I also really love the Moab’s but I’m after a specific color wrangler so that’s more important to me. A paint job or wrap isn’t cheap so I would lose any savings on a deal to a color change.

Lemon titles should sell for way lower. You will be lose so much value on a lemon title should you ever try to trade it in. There is one with only 23k miles for 35k and it’s been for sale for 143 days and dropped by 5000 dollars. Easy to try and negotiate that Moab with it sitting so long.

Not new, no, but I built my 2021 Sahara with both of those options.

I've also since added the OEM front steel bumper and 33" KO2s. The only thing I'm really missing is the hood.

You're shopping for used anyways, so widen your search to include Sahara and just check the options.

Wrangler prices are definitely coming down. I originally ordered a new Wrangler Willys last summer because used Rubicons and Wranglers in general were so expensive it actually made more sense to buy new with a nice discount. But instead I got a lightly used Rubicon for about the same money and now I have the front locker and sway bar disconnect. The Rubicon is actually optioned better as well. I have to say after test driving a base 24 Sport without Apline audio I'm very glad this Rubicon has it. The base audio system really sucks.

My advice is to just buy a used Rubicon instead. A lot of them out there and I'd rather have the capability and not need it than need it and not have it. Especially since prices are coming back back down to Earth from the ridiculous "new normal" prices of the COVID era.

I see a post like this and the first thing I think, besides don’t buy a Jeep with a lemon title, is this is where the ‘24 Willys shines.
Not a Sport, not a Rubicon, just a nice middle ground for someone wanting a Jeep without intending to build from the ground up (Sport) or being overwhelmed by options (Rubicon).

This ^^^
I would never buy a lemon title, period.
They are asking way to much.
You could buy a low mileage 2022 Willys for that money.

I've dealt with these in the past. A lot of times they really don't have any issues, but I can tell you the value will be horrible when you go to trade it. The dealership will use that against you, and give you about half of what it would normally be worth.
