im ordering some new LOD goodies as im trying to armor up my jeep for the Rubicon next year, and my usual offroading i do which includes big bear BOH trails and other local trails.
i was thinking the full width bumper for the possibility of sliding sideways and banging the rear corner into a rock but then ive seen people saying the shorty bumper is better for crawling/clearance. i dont do extreme stuff but pretty moderate trails.
ive settled on LOD. i have the stubby destroyer front bumper and love it. i just ordered their signature rock rails. now im working on the bumper lol.
here's the link to the shorty rear bumper

and the full width rear bumper

you cant really tell here but the full width corner is quite thick, to match the width of the factory fender flare. the shorty is much thinner/narrower. not sure if that plays into durability. perhaps @lodoffroad can weigh in.
