Been getting random front locker sensor codes for the couple months was waiting to get new covers/fluid and the sensor kit. Got everything ready went ahead and potted all the sensors.
Get it all apart and start swapping the sensors in, none of them work. And now the light is on all the time.
Hmmm vehicle is on the hoist and I notice with the tires at full droop the locker harness is pretty tight where it is connected to the control arm mount. I remove it from the arm and open up the loom, everything looks good. There is just a very slight dent on one of the wires, can't really see it but can feel it. Pull out the wire strippers and find the wire was completely separated and it was just the coating holding it together.
A little solder and some shrink tubing all fixed.
Front sensor had no oil in it and the rear one was full but still working.
Well at least I used it as an excuse to swap the oil and put some better covers on and all is good now.
For anyone else having these symptoms especially if lifted, open that harness up first might be a very quick fix.
