Unfortunately my Jeep doesn’t have the 4 AUX switches from the factory (which I HATE) so here is my question…

I’m wanting to add A pillar ditch lights, 2 lights on the front bumper, and probably an overhead light bar. Do I need to buy one of those aftermarket power relay stations and the interior switch panels that they connect to? Or can I just install all the lights and use the individual switches they come with to activate each of them? Would obviously like to have all the lights consolidated to a single switch panel for a cleaner setup, but with the install I’m looking at a lot more money. If I can just use the individual switches the lights come with , I’m thinking I’d just rather go that route. Seems like a lot of wires running through the engine bay and into the interior though.. what do you guys think? (For clarity, In the attached pic, I’m basically asking if it is practical, or if I can even have 3 of the individual switches controlling each individual light source, or if you have to have the central power relay unit and the consolidated switch panel.) I’d love to see pics of the light switch setups you guys are running also. thanks!

I’m running KC FE3s on the a pillar and FE4s on the bumper.
I don’t have the aux switches either - so I’m using an Auxbeam 8 Gang switch panel.

I have both pairs of lights wired separate from each other AND I have the backlights on their own switches. So I’m using 4 total. The Auxbeam switch panel is super easy to install and made hooking everything up a breeze.

I know there’s a few people using the new Voswitch 400 that integrates into the a pillar grab handle. Looks OEM and the install is basically the same as the Auxbeam.

I’ll add that you can program the Auxbeam to turn on/turn off whatever you want using the “group” function. That’s fine through the app. Works really well.

I went with a switch panel…makes wiring easy for future upgrades. Only one small harness for the switch panel….the rest is under the hood. Don’t mind the dirt and mud ??‍♀

I opted for the SwitchPros SP9100 system. Only requires a single communication cable routed to the switch panel, and the podded controller and its wiring hookups are mounted under the hood next to the main battery. I have 4 pairs of forward lights on their own switch, a fifth for rock lights, and soon will have the sixth powering a pair of aux backup lights. Eventually, the 7th and 8th will control ARB lockers.
