Hey I just wired in my light bar on my aux 1 plug. I have been doing alot of research but can't find an easy answer. Do I need to wire in the harness for the light bar with the relay and extra fuses or can I just wire directly from the light bar to the aux cord. It's a 32 inch light bar. Thanks

Your light bar will be fuse protected at 40 amp since you chose Aux 1 ......

Aux 1 and 2 are fused at 40 amp..
Aux 3 and 4 are fused at 15 amp.

You might want to keep an inline, lower amperage fuse in the mix on your light bars power wire which would offer fuse protection that would protect at a lower amperage then 40 amp.

You do not need the relay.

My guess is if you check the fuse on the harness that came with the light bar it is fused at much much less then 40 amp. Your inline fuse on your power wire would be best to be close to the same amperage as the fuse you found on the harness.

Anyway, if your light bar is an el-cheapo one the concern is less probably, but if the light bar is a pricey one you might want to have the appropriate fuse protection....

Thank you. The light bar is a cheap one. Thank for the info maybe I'll just run a fuse on the wiring to be on the safe side.
