Has anyone lifted their JL with a Quickjack? I have one rated for 5,000 lbs, but wondering if lifting by the frame is acceptable, or if there are particular jack points that should be used.

Any suggestions on which part of the frame works best?

The bottom. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

In front of the rear lower control arm mounts or behind the front LCA mounts is a great spot.

I understand that jacking from the axle side is what you do when swapping out tires, etc. Don't people jack the jeep up from the frame when they are working on the suspension, etc?

Yes, in the spots I mentioned.

I was joking that you jack from the bottom of the frame versus the side or top

Just ask @cosine he knows!
How about using the pinch welds?
Avoid the pinch welds, they aren't supported as well as uni-body type vehicles where the jackpoints are actually recommended on designated points along the pinch weld.

Many areas on the JLs are safe for a jack point, like the frame area previously mentioned above, the axle tubes, the bottom of the differential housing. A few aftermarket bumpers have slots for
Hi-Lift Jacks too, so many options.

I like to balance mine on the 2” wide transmission skid plate. You can only do it when you have just the right amount of fuel in the tank.

Thanks for the info.

Just got our JLURD yesterday. Already figured out I gotta sell my -5000 and get the -7000.

Just hope I can fit the -7000 under the other cars.

With the truck adapters, can you lift enough to get the Rubicon tires off the ground?

The max extension for QJ is 24". From the ground to the lifting points on the frame is almost 12".

Hey! I know that Jeep!
Must say that's quite a nice garage floor, can clear out the vehicles and do some dancing on that bad boy :)
