Hi guys. I have a 2016 2dr Rubicon HardRock.

Im looking for a good 2.5" lift kit.
(Currently eyeing the Teraflex 2.5" with coils and 9550 vss shocks)

I was wondering if one with just the springs and shocks is enough? Or do i need to install control arms etc. Im a noob at this lmao.

For now its a daily driver/pavement princess.?

Any help is very much appreciated!

This is a JL forum and you sir have a jk. That being said I've owned a couple jks.

At 2.5" you can get away with just springs and shocks but I'd add a rear trackbar bracket and adjustable trackbar for the front but that's just me. Teraflex makes good stuff and I'm running it on my jl. All I ever ran on the Jks was rock krawler and their stuff is top notch too. If your looking more budget minded rancho is a good option.

You could see what you get out of the shocks and springs and then make that determination after, since the other items are pretty easy to get to. You’ll likely need longer sway links and a front track bar but then again, you may not depending on how you use the Jeep, how it drives, etc.

All depends of your funding. If you’ve got the cash for adjustable control arms then you’ll be able to dial in the alignment. If you don’t buy them then you get what you get.

Thank you for your input. Thinking of just going with the Teraflex sport ST2 2.5" lift kit. Has the adjustable trackbar etc.

I'll mention the adjustable control arms option to my neighbor. He got this JL project and he's serious about lifting it. He'll start the mod projects after installing the new tires from 4Wheelonline this weekend.
