Level 1 Charging Question....

Just bought a 24' Rubicon 4xe.
The supplied Level 1 charger is not working on any outlets at my house (indoor or outdoor). However, it does work when I use the Level 1 elsewhere.... gas station, office park down the street. Does anyone else have this issue?
I know the outlet works because I use it to plug in my lawn equipment, christmas lights, etc. I have had an electrician out to check it, he even replaced the socket just to be sure, but same results.
I am having a 1450 outlet installed for a Level 2 but I wanted to have the Level 1 as a back up. Any thoughts?

Have you used a circuit tester (like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Receptacle-T...s_g_14244461_sccl_7/146-5225566-4809544?psc=1) to make sure your outlets are wired correctly? I had one with the with hot and neutrals reversed that would power my lawn equipment and lights just fine but would not work with my parent's camper van.

Yea it seems the 4xes are particularly sensitive to the wiring configuration at the location and work best on its own dedicated circuit, and throw issues if anything with the wiring or outlet is off, even when other plug in hybrids work fine. I’d be curious if another non-Jeep L1 charger would work.

Had the exact same problem. Older wiring with no ground.
Plugged into wiring I had done 5 years ago, worked fine.

UPDATE - I have my Level 2 outlet installed and is working great. Still having issues with factory Level 1 charger. Works at a office park and gas station down the street but not at my house or at a friends house???
Electrician told me that maybe its something to do with whether the 120v outlet is grounded or not? I believe the outlet I am trying to use is GFI grounded. Seems weird to me given that it doesn't work at my or a friends residence?...

The outlets are GFCI, or downstream of one?
