Got the same one, works great, easy install, nice price, and plenty sturdy. It also has a variety of mounting lengths/angles so you should be able to adjust it just where you want it.

After seeing this thread and missing the dead pedal I ordered the M.O.R.E. pedal from Quadratec. Install is not that bad, even had to take it out to adjust it to the closest position. One thing to note is if you look at the outside of the Jeeps kick plate with a mirror you will see that about 1/4 of the backing plate does not make contact with the kick plate due to the way it is molded.
I wouldn't worry to much about dropping the backing plate, it cant go that far and would be easy to fetch with a magnet.

Does the gap bother you enough that you'd advise stacking washers in there? My impression is that it's quite solid without, but I'll be installing mine sometime in the next few days.

Its plenty solid. I just tightened the nuts until there was no longer a wobble in the pedal. I sent MORE an email with the pic, was just curious if maybe that frame used to be flat and the newer models is different.

I was bummed to discover that a manual trans JT (and I guess, the JL) does not have space for a dead pedal. I have one in my TJ and use it. Also put one in my wife's two-door JL. Interestingly enough, in another vehicle of mine (manual trans) the pedal is described in the owner's manual :

Installed my M.O.R.E yesterday.
Only problem I had was the bolt pattern on the back plate was a hair wider than the holes. Screwed up and pushed the bolt closet to the door in first then couldn’t get the back bolt to go in. It wedged in there and about never got it out .
recommend test fitting the back plate from the front before getting it behind the the factory bracket.
Took a rat file and turned it around in the hole a few time and it slid right in.
Made the install easier because the plate wasn’t moving after I got it through the holes.
Does have a small gap in the back bolt on the back side due to how the mounting bracket is made but it’s has no play at all.
Put mine on the highest bracket hole. I like my legs bent a little. 6’0” and keep my seat all the way back

Same here with the holes, once I got it in I couldnt get it back out so I just pulled it in with the nuts. I also used the closest to the seat hole for the pedal, started with the middle and it felt to far so moved it closer.

I will forever misread this to be a thread about dead pixels in the uConnect radio, only too late to discover yet again that I've instead fallen for this suspiciously close yet entirely unrelated topic.

Just as a quick update. I talked to someone over at Quadratec this morning, they still don't have an estimated delivery and there are over 500 on back order.
Funny how quick things change. After being told they didn't have an estimated delivery just last week, it shipped the next day and I had it the day after. Wow. This is from a early October order.

Maybe a thread on jlwranglerforums.com is all it took to kick this into high gear :)
