While installing my MC lift, I noticed some coolant on the control arms. I opened the hood and found the seam on the reservoir is split, or never fully sealed, on the whole left side. There was dried coolant in some areas and coolant leaking down to the manifolds and control arms.

The Jeep only has 640 miles and the dealer is warrantying the part, still not super. I’ve been keeping a close eye on the coolant level until the part comes on, it never seems to drop anymore once past the seam. If you notice you’re low on coolant, check this.

I had exactly that same leak. The seam between the bottom and top of the reservoir had a thin crack. I discovered it when I smelled something weird and saw steam coming from the left side of the hood.
I popped the hood and saw pink splatter all over. Straight to the dealer (with only 300 miles), they spotted the leak immediately when they pressurized the reservoir.
I wasn't too upset since this crap bottle is probably made in china anyway- what can you really do?
But the dealer ordered the part and swapped it three days later. The only real bummer was that I discovered it the day before taking it to the trail for the first time and was away from my new 392 for three whole days...

I'll add that there was no damage, overheating, or any other errors/issues, thankfully for discovering it and taking it straight to the dealer. But if you see this happening, definitely pull over and see the coolant reservoir levels before continuing to drive.

On my 2022 Gladiator Diesel it also had a coolant reservoir leak. Major mess. I thought it was very strange failure, till your post. They must have had a bad batch?

Anyhow dealership Northwest Jeep, in Beaverton, Or did a great job replacing and fast.

Currently some days when I have just warmed it up in the mornings, I can smell the sweet smell of coolant. I've been checking the level, no change. Guess it's gonna take awhile to clean it all up.

Had the exact same thing happen to mine at about the same mileage. Lost a lot of coolant but everything was fine.
