I don’t know what Tony (OP) eventually did. Post was from Aug ‘21 so now any posts I am guessing are for other’s education.

But based on his use case, coil overs, bypass, etc. seem way overkill I am guessing for 95%+ of us. I think a Clayton or similar lift with Fox or Falcon shocks will be a great setup for on/off road adventures. Not trying to discount other brands here but these I have some experience.

As a daily driver, maintenance is a factor. Instead I will upgrade suspension when I come to realize that I need/want it because I understand my limitations. Otherwise waste of money.

If you don’t wheel at least 7+ rated trails at least several times a year yes - coilovers are total overkill. This is my first set and I totally love them. I’m thinking about adding a gladiator in the future (I could use a truck with a box) and I’d prob do the metal cloak or similar lift on that vs coilovers as I’d still take it on 7-8 level rated trails but not nearly as often as my wrangler.
Coilovers are sweet and I’m super glad I’m running them on my rubicon but they are absolutely not budget friendly, and for a daily driver with moderate wheeling at best total overkill.
For those of us who want them and actually make use of them though, they’re worth it / rebuildable as well..
