I have KC Hilite Daylighters on my Jeep with the hard plastic covers. Anyone know if they'll melt with the lights on. The lights are NOT led. As long as I'm asking, what about the stone guard covers?

In my experience, yes on hard covers and no on stone guards.

Just take them off and leave them off, you will melt them eventually for sure and the odds of catching a rock that cracks a lens are about like getting hit by lightning. It also looks like you might actually use them and didnt just add them for the yellow cover look.

I do use them and get tired of taking covers on & off. Always worry about putting the covers when the lights are still HOT. That's why I thought of the stone guards. But now that you say it, I've never busted a headlight, so probably never bust a hilite. Thanks
