So I got my KC Flex Era 4's mounted - and they are GREAT!

I had very specific mounting scenarios.

I have the Jeep JL Steel bumper. I have the Warn bull bar that uses (3) mounting screws. I also have the front camera that I want to maintain it's usability, so mounting anything to the bull bar directly will be a challenge.

I ended up mounting these OVER the 3rd screw of the bull bar, and the result is actually something I intended.......a slight outward angle due to the position against the factory tow hooks.

After all that, I'm looking for experience and feedback from those who have mounted these lights at an angle (-if anyone has). These are currently with the Combo beam pattern. When using them, there is a very small part of the field in the center that isn't covered....but my high beams cover that area.

Just looking for feedback. I don't have live pics of the light performance yet.

I tried that orientation at first and it made the hooks on the bumper pretty much worthless, so I moved them out. They are amazing lights, however!

Ahh....we think alike!

I convinced myself that using a soft shackle will still let me use the hooks.....but very carefully :CWL:

I too thought about putting them where you did, but I'm worried about road salt/slush and also much getting thrown forward into the back of the light. Have you had any experiences like this?

Here in southwest VA, we don’t get as much salt and slush as you do in Michigan, but haven’t had an issue with debris from roads/ trails. Just get covered with bugs like the rest of the jeep 😂!
