Hi All,

So I just noticed my Flex Era 4 lights cause the radio (FM) to become staticky.

It doesn’t happen with the amber backlights, only when I turn on the big lights.

I have them wired to my Aux 1 switch on the OEM switches.

Anyone else experience interference when they turn on their off road lights?

Is it normal? Is there a fix? Thanks!

Not the exact same setup, but adding my info in case it’s useful.

I’m running a pair of KC Gravity Pro6 LED (or whatever the nomenclature is)mounted to my bumper, running off OEM Aux 4. No issues with any radios when on or off.

Thanks. Wondering if my wiring is against the antenna wire maybe.

Yeah, you might chase your wires and make sure you’re not touching anything you shouldn’t be.

Also, in terms of troubleshooting, if you’re at a loss you might connect up to a different aux switch just to see if you’re running into the same issue.

i installed the KC series C3 mounted them with the mopar pillar mounts. The C3 on the passenger side is inches away from the antenna. I have the wires tucked in the cowl between the windshield and hood. I have static on AM and FM stations. AM is much worse.

That’s gotta be it then. I’m wired right to the aux wires on the passenger side under the hood. Not much I can do about that since Jeep built the vehicle with the aux wires and antenna on the same side, about a foot from each other. Oh well. Thanks for the reply!

Call KC support, my understanding is they will send you some ferrite core EMI filters

Have y'all tried adding ferrite cores to your wiring to reduce line noise?

I'm going to try that next, and maybe start with KC support like @bless0 suggested. Thanks!

I'm about to install a set of these Flex4s on my front bumper using the Aux2/3 switches. Did you find any resolution for this issue?
