Hi,

I just got my new set of KC Gravity Titan 2 light set.
As their anointments etc I was super exited and expected one of the best lights ever.

So I thought those will be a great addition to my set of KC Flex Era 4.

I relocated my existing KC Flex Era 4 to the A pilar and mounted the new KC Gravity Titan on the front bumper.

My test drive last night was quite disappointing.
I have both lights in the wide pattern which works for me in Georgia.
The Flex Era 4 are still giving out so much more light that I think now if the Gravity Titan's are useful for me at all.

I mean the Gravity Titan give a little bit more reach into the distance and they seam to be better for the eyes as a night driving light as they come out less bright in close distance as the Flex Era 4.

Am I missing something?

I am honestly think to return the Gravity Titan and maybe get some Flex Era 3 for the A pilar and move the Flex Era 4 back to the bumper.

Thanks for y'all's thoughts.

Mike

Hello Mike,

Sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the performance of the Titan compared to the Flex Era 4. Just for clarity, the Flex line is a different technology and type of light compared to the Gravity Line.

The Titan is the 3rd Generation of the Pro6 light. It uses our GRD technology for lower amperage with a more controlled beam.

The Flex line uses higher amperage and just shoots light everywhere. The Beam isnt as controlled.

For comparison...
Flex Era 4 Spot - 180,000 CD @ 160w / 13.3 amps (4 LEDs)
Flex Era 4 Combo - 161,000 CD @ 160w / 13.3 amps (4 LEDs)

Gravity Titan 6 Spot - 288,500 CD @ 79w / 6.58 amps (3 LEDs)
Gravity Titan 6 Wide40 - 155,000 CD @ 79w / 6.58 amps (3 LEDs)

Thank You for this explanation!

I figured this in the meantime that I did not do my homework on the numbers.

I think now to find a way to connect the Titans to the high beams and use them in addition on night driving lights.
Or put them on wife’s Jeep
