Thanks for your post. I agree that Katzkin is trying to provide good service and make this right.
Anybody can make mistakes, it is really important how the company deals with issues and the support they provide after the fact. If they provided the name of an approved installer, then they should with that installer to get the issue resolved, or back up their service with a new installer...

Don't know who you talked to at katzkin but they asked me a ton of questions when i did mine. Honestly i don't see this as being their fault. YOU already admitted it was a 700 up charge for full leather, so sorry but that's YOUR fault for ordering 2 different materials. As far as expecting Katzkin to pay for a trip to a new installer, i don't feel that's on them. Maybe they will maybe they wont, but i wouldn't expect it. Sounds like them making you new seats, they are working on making it right. Let it play out and see what happens. Either way i love my seats and would do it again. I did have some issues w the installer, so I would ask them for a different one.
They didn't tell me that until I asked why the materials looked different. I expressed I expected full leather based on the conversations with the sales person who initially told me the standard leather would be a perfect match front and rear. The whole matching thing came up because I asked about doing the XT up front only. So again that is poor communication on the sales side, I was very clear I expected matching front and rear seats.

Can you post the rear seats so we can see the difference in the quality of the material.
