I just had coil overs and new ball joints installed and now my front lockers wont engage. the service axle locker warning light is on, and when i try to engage, it starts blinking and then says cancelled. i already had a z-locker on my rear cause the sensor had gone out. so i purchased another z-locker and installed on the front axle, and still not working. i swapped both z-lockers to see if maybe i got a defective z-locker, but rear locks just fine and front wont.

Check for broken wires in the harness between the axle and the chassis. Happened to our JLUR, had the same symptoms and was broken sensor wires in both front and rear axle harnesses.

gotcha ... thanks, will check later today. i had checked the harness right where it connects to the axle, and the wires right where it goes into the connector, but he rest of the harness is wrapped, so Ill just have to follow it as best i can and see if there are any rips or tears that could cause the wire to break or cut.

Make sure the engagement bracket isn’t bent. Also make sure the electrical connector for the locker isn’t broken and that the wires are connected. This connector is easily broken and you might not notice it. Connect power to one terminal and ground the other and listen for the locker to click. If it clicks, you’ re good, no click you found the problem.

Probably need to take the wrap off and check the wires individually. Also, do the coil overs allow a lot of droop? You might need to extend the harness too.
