Long time Jeeper, currently have a leased 2018 JLU. My lease is up next month. Wondering if anyone knows if the frame welds have improved since 2018 so I can make a decision on buying new or buying my 2018 at lease end.

Never had an issue with either on my 2018 or 2020. crawl under your 2018 and check, I think the weld issue was way overblown. I paint everything underneath anyways when I rust proof all my cars.

I have seen no posts here of complaints with 2020 or newer models.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Our 2019 delivered 1/2019 has no issues (2dr) I think it was mainly a small run in mid 2018 where the problems started and were fixed pretty quick (AFAIK)

I own a 2018 Sahara: haven't had any frame weld issues.

Thanks all. I ended up buying out my lease. Inventory on new Jeeps is scarce.
