It sounds a lot like you’re trying to justify using something you’ve got lying around as opposed to manning up putting wheels with the proper lug pattern and offset on your Jeep. Sure you’re not having to buy new rims, but the tires sounds like the tires are worn pretty well and are easily 8-10yrs old meaning you’re going to have to invest in tires. So now you have to spend a bunch of money buying special adapters (don’t trust your life with those cheap Chinese adapters) and tires for 20” rims which cost more than your typical 17” tires. Since you seem to prefer steel wheels over alloys, it’d probably be almost a wash to do Steele’s and a bigger tire than swap on your old Ram wheels.
The screen shot below will give you a base line of your stock tires over you Ram tires, albeit not factoring in for the wheel spacers you’ll need to run.
