I have an 18 JL. Am checking the start battery now. But it is giving me U codes and sometimes it will not come out of park. But it says it isn’t in park. Can anyone help me with this. I have tried everything that I know.

You have a 2018 model year vehicle. If you are running original OEM batteries (main and aux if you have one) you are way overdue for replacements. The lifespan of the OEM batteries is about 3 years. Aged/bad/dying batteries are known for causing all sorts of weird electrical issues in the JL Wrangler.

Consider changing the main only and bypassing the aux battery (if you have one):

Ok I didn’t see this before I had it go to the shop. It is the starter battery. Replaced it and seems to be running good now. Man I wish I could have figured this out myself

It is the starter battery.
What engine do you have? Did you see above about the main and aux batteries? Depending on your engine you may have a main and and aux battery. They both need to be replaced at the same time if you do not bypass the aux battery.
