Y'all are old! I have a question though..
What was it like watching Babe Ruth play?
Never saw Ruth, but I grew up just outside of Boston. When we were kids ( 9-10 years old ) we would take the street car into Fenway, sit in the grandstand for 75 cents ,smoke Newport menthol cigarettes, throw up under the seat, and cheer for Ted Williams.

Don’t know about the Babe. Was not around to see him, but watching Nolan Ryan, Pete Rose, Ken Griffey Sr, Jonny Bench, Don Mattingly, Darrell Strawberry and many others like them in their prime was FANTASTIC!!!!

That sounds like a good time to me!

Just a few months after I bought my JL, I was at a local shop picking up parts for another project. The guy there saw my Jeep parked out front and started lambasting it, commenting on how horrible it was and how they were breaking down like crazy out at the 2018 EJS. When he finished his idiotic rambling, I asked him how he felt it was appropriate to rag on the ride of a customer who just came into their shop to give them some business and naturally he had no answer other than "that's just what I heard."

I hope you asked him for the “asshole customer service” discount!

Here in my area we see a good mix of both JK's and JL's. Nothing but love to any Jeep, I had a 16' JK on 37's and loved it. But I love my JL on 40's much better now!!!!

Hmmmm... I might be part of the problem. I'm the one in the JL blowing by them with both middle fingers out the window yelling "It must suck to be poor!!!"
I was never told if that is not proper Jeep etiquette, am I out of line here?

Not sure if it's jealousy or just people being stupid:facepalm:... I never thought I'd see this, but yesterday some little Fiat pulled over on the entrance ramp as my husband and I were getting on I-70W. After we pass, this asshole literally turns around and drives up the wrong way in the ramp! I told my husband this is why we need a camera. I think that asshole convinced my husband that a dash cam is probably a really good idea:like:
so I’ve been lurking in the shadows....mostly reading here and there about my future vehicle while I wait for my current civic to die, but I can chime in on this.

As far as dashcams go, you have plenty to chose from. I personally went with a Street Guardian. It’s an excellent middle ground with a product backed by an American based company with great customer service.

Just like with safety equipment, you want to avoid bottom of the barrel items but you also don’t need top tier quality (unless you want it). You want a fire and forget camera.

The SG cameras have an adjustable lens for most windshield angles, a quick disconnect mount & wires for when you drop your windshield, you can hard wire it or use a cigarette lighter for power so you never have to worry about forgetting to turn it on.

I’ve had mine for 3 years, it’s a front only. They have front and rear options.

You’ll also need a quality SD card. There are TONS of fakes out there that will be labeled as 128gb but in actuality it’s only 4gb and will make your camera glitch. SD cards should be top tier to avoid this. You’ll want a camera that can handle at least a 128gb card and replace this card yearly because they are not meant to be constantly written on. I use these:

Samsung 128GB EVO Plus Class 10 Micro SDXC with Adapter (MB-MC128GA) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFHQGB9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_WwqaEbYRAMQ8K

Lastly Dash Cam Talk is a great website that rates and reviews most camera out there. That’s about the gist of it.

Happy holidays :)
