Hey there recently I was having problem with my battery not charging to the full 14.0 that it was supposed to be. Finally the other day the I was driving to work and lights on the dash started to go off and steering go stiff and wouldn't let me shift. I turn it off Jumpstarted it and I could drive again. Took it back home changed the alternator all was well. The jeep sat over night and in the am again I had all these lights and it was saying the voltage was low and wouldn't let me shift the lights that turned on were serv abs, serv 4x4, serv stop start, traction, serv electronic stability control and service shifter. The jeep turned on I would rev a couple times turn it off and back on let it run for a bit and soon the lights would go away and the only thing that would be left on is the engine light . I can drive it all day and eventually the light will turn off after a couple off/on periods but when the jeep sits for an hour or 2 the lights pop back on and won't let me shift I have no clue what it could be I also changed the high current fuse thinking that would be the problem but it was not. Scanned it and it says to change the abs wheel speed sensor but doesn't make sense to me because all the lights will go away after a bit of running and turning on and off it something electrical thats all I know ?

Okay about half of this makes sense.

Batteries don’t charge to 14.0v, it isn’t possible.

You changed out the alternator? You had no evidence that there was a problem with it.

Whst actual fault codes are being set? There is no such thing as the computer telling you to change parts.

You probably just have a crap auxiliary battery.

Load test your main battery. It may not be accepting a full charge or it may be discharging at a high rate, both of which are signs of a defective battery.
