So long as the donor motor is same model year or newer, smog legal swaps are still possible from everything I've read. Would have preferred a 2 dr. , investigated options before purchase. This ain’t the old days when I built Chevy powered CJ5. And that was expensive, the only stock (almost) part left was the body. can’t even install a different tube with an air cleaner on the end in Ca unless CARB approved.
