I’m looking for ways to keep my Jeep from being ripped off. I already have a club, but I don’t like it because it rubs my steering wheel hub and is jacking it up. I’ll be looking for another one with different proportions. Any suggestions for Killswitch? Or another way to help prevent theft. Thanks for any advice!
Do you have a 6-speed manual transmission? That will definitely deter a number of would be thieves.

Where I'm from. They won't steal it. They will just steal everything off of it. They will leave the frame and bare shell on blocks if you leave it parked long enough. People just see a parked car as "free game" for some reason around here.

I have the club, locking console, EZTRUNK extreme, Advanced Wheel Locks, Tazer, bolt hood lock, two air tags hidden (but made to be found), and a GPS tracker hidden very well too…but i also added a OBD lock that i found on AliExpress. It is not impermeable, but it should slow down a thief when i drive with the top/doors off.

What I like about dogs is, they can’t be hacked or tricked. I mean, a good dog.

I had one once who’d could be bribed.

But I had a catahoula that slept with one eye open.
We have three Catahoulas. They DO like people - with hot sauce.

Posting just to give my experience. I woke up at 1AM last night to a popping noise. Found 2 hooded individuals standing around my driver door, and when I called out to them they sprinted off with a third coming out from around my house. I guess the third was looking in the windows to see if anyone was coming.

Anyway, I stopped them before they broke the window. The driver window had two punch marks from one of those window breaking devices. The hood was still closed (and locked), and the alarm was still active.

If they broke in the alarm would've gone off, so I guess these dudes were just amateurs? Despite that the vehicle has both a kill switch AND the RFH flash completed, so it wasn't going anywhere regardless. Still sucks that I have to replace the window.

Theft is a real issue. My previous 2016 JK was stolen right out from the front of my house as well. I find it odd that they'd target the Rubicon (manual) instead of the 392 parked in the driveway, but I guess it was targeted due to it being parked on the street. There's also another JL parked in a driveway up the street that they ignored.

We heard some noise and spotted 3 punks had broken into a buddies 57 Chevy and were attempting to rip the stereo out of the dash. After “apprehending the suspects” in a suitable manner when the cops showed up the they warned the owner “If you press charges they will probably press assaulting a minor charges against you two, better let them go.” His dash got damaged with no satisfaction other than a little ass whoopin.

In California, the person being arrested cannot press charges against anyone if the arrest was affected pursuant to California Penal Code Sections 834, 835, and 837. The Officer would be wrong if the person affecting the arrest followed the law. Also, if an Officer refuses to take a person into custody after a legal arrest was made, the Officer would be in violation of the law and subject to be charged accordingly.

tazer pin lock will be the most seamless. most dudes with 90s hondas (slimjim specials we call em) just route a killswitch to the fuel pump relay to somewhere hidden in the car. a hard wired gps tracker buried in the dash may also be another piece of mind for you.

not sure if you have a garage door opener too but if you do i feel its worth it to put that on velcro and remove it from the car when my doors/top are off, just incase

Full coverage. Might be inconvenient to get it stolen but if they want it that bad I’m not dying over it.

All the anti-theft kit in the world is useless compared to a tow truck.

ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. most theft is either oppertunist or using jailbroken autel scanners to disable the immobiliser. id still rather pay for a window than get my stolen car back, again, have my insurance drop me, again, and have my premiums skyrocket. again...

I have may devices on my jeep including Drone Mobile tucked way up under the dash.
It will track the jeeps location even if they disconnect the jeeps battery.

One day early in my LE career, about the crack of dawn, I got a call for a car burglary in progress.

When I got there, and the guy had a pistol pointed at some young thug, who was trying to steel the wheels off his truck.

I cuffed the suspect and told the owner that I had it from there. That was in the 90s. Today, that kid would have ran, even with a gun pointed at him.

And, no, I wouldn’t have even imagined charging the owner for brandishing his firearm. Even if he shot the guy, he would not have been charged.

Wish we could say the same for California.
