Appointments just shouldn’t be made 3 months out. Imagine the chaos that is that service center. They have no idea what their ETA’s are and they take any job that becomes difficult and push it to the side or out the door with PROBLEM NOT REPRODUCED. You cannot accurately gauge what the workload will be 3 months from now.
My understanding is that you are a service writer so tell me what is considered an acceptable wait time in your opinion. I'm curious what a professional in your position thinks about this.

I hear ya... for what it's worth, I once asked the service manager if installing stuff myself voided my warranty. His reply:"not if you do it right." I keep every receipt in both paper and digital form, along with a spread sheet on the computer documenting every event, just in case.
Impressive, and a man of detail, like my younger self... ;)

The flip side of that is if I schedule an appointment that appointment shouldn't be made 3 months out because the dealer can't get their staffing sorted out. Surely there can be a happy medium?
Agree, but to be fair, my appointment (driven by the fuel-pump recall) was made three weeks in advance (driven by the recall) not three months.

3 weeks is still too long. The same thing that he says about 3 months still applies at 3 weeks. Notice he won't come back and actually give a good answer and he sidestepped it the first time because he knows.

The fun continued when I went to pick it up today. First they tried to charge me for the oil and filter change (which on my check-in sheet and app check-in I pointed I was covered under warranty and they had confirmed in advance), then there was a problem with my key (I will leave it there, but it became a bit of a distraction and time bandit) and then after getting about three miles from the dealership and having paid for the state inspection sticker, I noticed I didn't have one affixed to my windshield, so back to the dealership for that... ;) But I have it home now and I appreciate all the feedback I received IRT my post. I think I know now where to set the expectation-bar at a Jeep dealership, so I won't be disappointed when I have to use it for service in the future and I will find an independent Jeep repair shop for those items I can't handle myself. Thanks everyone!

“Yelp” is not a measure of service.
