If I've posted this in the wrong place please tell me and I aplogize and will move it....I bought a 2022 Wrangler Rubicon this past May and I love it. Just one problem, well 2. On more then one occasion when going slow like pulling into a parking space when I went to apply the brakes the engine suddenly revv'd up and my Jeep lunged forward as if I had my foot on the gas and the brake. The first two times it happened I was slowing for a stop sign and just jumped about 6 feet then stopped. This last time I jumped the concrete curb and ran down a handicap sign and stopped. The dealer hasn't been able to come up with anything because there were no trouble codes and suggested it could possibily been my foot actually hitting both pedals. He was also supposed to be checking to find out why on a couple of occasions when I first started the jeep it would immediately redline until i hit the stop button right away, again no code. I'm trying to review as many web posts that are possibily related but haven't had any luck. Has anyone here ever had anything even vaguely related to either of these two situations, the lunging Jeep and the redline at start up? I know it's a shot in the dark but my wife is getting me a diagnostic reader and a subscription to Jscan for Christmas to see if I can teach myself how to work that and be able to use it to see if there's anything I can find. I know that's a laugh to everyone, if the mechanic and all their sufisticated testers and apps can't find it how would I stand a chance. Again, any one out there familiar with either problem ? Thank you for taking your time to read this babbling post.

E torque? Thats what mine did, 2023, dealer could not fix, one of many issues I had, had to get a lawyer to get out of that one.

My troubling issue, slowing to stop, engine would shutdown before stopping then suddenly stop and suddenly engine restart and lurch forward if i didnt apply hard braking.

My 2020 1500 5.7 ram with etorque, was fine, which is only reason I bought the 2 door with it.

You will find no fault codes for this. I think it's really bad programming and bad sensors telling etorque and engine what to do.

Yes it is an eTorque and I've been thinking along those lines all along because of the wierd way the Jeep brakes. Looks like I may be in for a long ride. Do you still have it? What was the final outcome if they couldn't fix it? Thank you for responding, I appreciate it.

After market floor mat getting stuck on the gas pedal?
No the only mat is the Mopar ones with the drain hole that are formed and flat to the floor. Thank you for replying I appreciate it.

I have a similar issue but I don't have the E-torque. It doesn't happen all the time but usually I'll come close to a stop put it in neutral and the Jeep rev's to 2000 rpm. Sometimes I'll be stopped and the Jeep just rev's to 2000 for no reason.

I'm going to have to try that and see if mine revs like that. This thing seems to have a mind of its own and it's a shame because I love the stupid thing. Like I mentioned sometimes when I first start mine it immediately redlines so I have to always be ready to hit the off button. Then with the parking situation now I'm always ready to try and stop it. Thank you for your post, I appreciate it.

I have no history with the E-torque and how the computer works, and I have been retired several years. With that said, at a major accident, we were able to down load information from the computer that gave us detailed information on every mechanical aspect of the vehicle prior to the collision. I would think a dealership would have the ability to do that for you???
