Question: Can 5W at temperature A behave exactly like 0W at temperature B? If yes, then please give me the temperatures.
You aren't asking a stupid question. However, the question you are asking is most likely best answered by a tribologist or similar engineer. A tribologist is a specialist who studies how surfaces interact when they move relative to each other, and how this affects friction, wear, and lubrication.

I noticed by your profile that you are located in Seattle, Washington. I am not familiar with that area, but a brief search brought up the name of Dr. Rene Overney. He is a professor of chemical engineering at the University of Washington. One of his research interests is tribology. You might consider calling the college and reaching out to him. His email address and contact information may be on the college's web site as well.

I don't know if he can answer your question specifically, but he might be able to act as a link to other tribologists or similar engineers in your area that work within the petroleum industry.

Aside from the issue of choosing to follow or not manuracturer guidelines for oil selection, the appropriate tribologist or similar engineer working in that field would be in a much better position to specifically address your question relative to combustion engine dynamics.

It's kind of slick how you got AI to include typos!
AI? I didn't use AI to generate anything. I just read his question and based upon my previous experience asking similar questions, I suggested that he follow the same path that I would follow if I wanted an answer to his question.

As far as typos go... I'm only human and should probably do a better job proofreading my posted answers.

What you are looking for is the resistance to flow, at what low ambient temperature, between the oil weights. 5w is good for -30 below and 0w is good for -35 below. Please see the oil chart below:
https://www.google.com/search?sca_e...EQIHdAmA3wQ1QJ6BAhOEAE&biw=1080&bih=765&dpr=2
If your oil is 35 degrees below zero, you had better run 0w-20. At 30 below you can use 0w-20 or 5w-30.

The game here is to protect the engine which is much more complicated AND much simpler because you really could use either oil weight and not worry about it. Higher weights protect better in general all else being equal. People blame engine failures on oil, but it could also have been that river crossing or that pinging sound that was ignored. It's case by case.

Hey guys, so the exhaust gases do not leak from anywhere except the exhaust so it means they are super contained. So why can't we have another tank next to that gas tank in which all the exhaust gases will be pressurized into liquid, and then we can recycle it? That way we will not have any emissions. So why the government doesn't do this to save our B6s and V8s?

The engine has to breath. It cannot take in more air/fuel then it can expel. If you contain the exhaust the engine will suffocate. All you can do is filter the exhaust to remove as much of the emissions you can without restricting its flow.

Because the exhaust gases are no longer gasoline.

Guys, should Jeep be parked flat for transfer case fluid change or like in case of engine slightly parked uphill is better?
