I don't understand why people get ticked off at other people's threads. If you think it is stupid and don't want to participate in it, then just ignore it and move along. I mean if you don't like the food at a certain restaurant you just simply don't eat there. Right?

Question: Can 5W at temperature A behave exactly like 0W at temperature B? If yes, then please give me the temperatures.
wish I had an answer… but watching to learn. Curious by nature, double so for anything Jeep-related!

I want to know that if 5w at 45 degrees behaves exactly like 0w at 35 degrees, then I don't care, I will pretend I started the Jeep at 35 degrees while running 5w at 45 degrees.
I mean their behaviors should look identical at some points, they are both fluids.

i added more man you reply fast

, first google response, when i google your question, bob the oil guy explains it well.

google this phrase:

Can 5W at temperature A behave exactly like 0W at temperature B

i get this search result one of many, one of ten pages of answers to be precise.:

https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/t...lly-the-same-flow-lubricity-at-40-60f.372737/
Read that. They say for same grade 0w and 5w will behave similarly 40-60 degrees like 5w20 and 0w20. So that means I will get screwed with 5w30. So my question changed ☹

Can 5W30 at temperature A behave exactly like 0W20 at temperature B? If yes, then please give me the temperatures.

Guys, I'm pissing off some people with my stupid threads. Before I piss off the staff and get booted out, I need to do something about this. So I'm going to ask my stupid questions here 😃👍
I’m sure there’s plenty of people here that don’t appreciate my sarcastic sense of humor and juvenile gif posting. My wife says, “you know nobody thinks you are as funny as you do”. If you can tolerate some occasional teasing you’ll be fine.

No, 5w-30 will be slightly thicker across the temp ranges. It's slightly less viscous at both of the blended ratings.

Wait, I had to reread your question, if you look at the chart I posted above. 5w-30 at 175° will be the same viscosity as 0w-20 at 162°.
