I think most with a Jeep have varying levels of what a "detail" is for a Jeep. I keep the wife's Volvo looking near new even after 3 years. But the Jeep.. it gets washed a handful of times a year and usually at her urging. What @Heimkehr said is about right for me. I will clean out the inside more often than exterior. The outside is just going to get dirty again so no need to spend so much time detailing it. Of course if yours is a mall crawler you're more likely to keep the exterior clean.

Leaf blowers have been used by motorcyclists for years to blow water out of the hidden nooks & crannies after a hand wash.
And auto detailers have also adopted this. Not necessarily a leaf blower anymore as they now have designated tools for removing water after a wash. I'll do this with the leaf blower. I'm sure we all get annoyed by that water drip from the gas filler cover, door handles and side mirrors.

I have a leaf blower that I have used from time to time. Granted I need a smaller light weight one as I have issues holding this one up long enough now. Bad shoulders. For a very good detail though I have paid my guy 60 to come wash clay and wax the whole jeep lol.

Extra time. I was surprised for it's size, at how long it actually took to wash, dry and finish spray it. And all the little areas that accumulate water, that's where the leaf blower/compressed air come in handy.

Big hell yes for the leaf blower!

Vacuums always have a hard time with leaves so I will blow out a bunch first, then vacuum.

It works great for drying out those places the hands can't get to after washing.

And my favorite use... Snow removal. Works like a charm and won't scratch the paint like a brush or broom (or your arm) can.

Chemical Guys have a starter kit that looks good. We picked up a pressure washer last year so I think I might invest in a soap cannon for it.

The starter kit has a cannon with it but not sure how much the kit would be without their cannon. From what I remember their cannons are not exactly cheap

I wash with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wash and Wax then hand dry using the Wet Wax, it's a drying agent so drying is a breeze, I prefer the hand dry over leaf blowing, that way I can spot issues easier.

I typically hand wash every 2 weeks in the winter, and maybe 4-5 weeks in the summer depending on rain or snow, But in between hand washes I will power wash especially in the winter.

i use 303 protectant on the plastics and tires using a soft tire brush.
