This is no help. Honestly most people ditch the stock for worse reception. Not sure there is a better option.

You can move from the factory installed antenna to an aftermarket antenna but doing so only nets you even worse reception.

I like listening to some AM/FM radio and have looked at an antenna like this https://www.theantennasource.com/JEEP/Wrangler/Wrangler-2007-2020.html#1A. They are similar to the OEM one I have my Dakota, which has very good reception.

That said, only a few of their Wrangler-compatible antennas indicate they gave "unmatched reception." There are no specifications indicating dB gain/loss for any of their antennas. Shorter antennas have more limited reception range than longer antennas (wave length). So, YMMV.

As @Rhinebeck01 says, moving to an aftermarket antenna nets worse reception.

It's understood that the stock antenna, whippy thought it may be, provides the best reception. If there was one with comparatively better performance, particularly if it was shorter than the stock fitment, it'd be known to forum membership here. ?

The stations I listen to also have a simultaneous streaming app. (ie, NPR).
Could that be an option for you?

Not sure this will help but it is a YouTube vid on using a stock ford antenna…looks better for sure and I would guess would outperform the stubbier shorter options out there.

A 6 minute video to talk about and install an OEM antenna lol. Content creation life is rough.

Hey there...so I have also tried several aftermarket antennas and highly reviewed ones yet not a single one was better than the factory one unfortunately. I'm not far from big city stations and surprisingly the factory picks up way more and great reception. I did this on new 2023 rubi and also for my ram truck...both vehicles reception was way worse even with the best rated and several brands I've tested and returned them all and went back to factory.
