This is the first time I actually looked at the buttons up close. I have the car under wraps. I started the car up to see if the lights would come on, they didn't. I was afraid to play with them. I must have pushed them when cleaning which turned them on. An acquaintance did a similar thing while fishing the North Platte in Wyoming. A helicopter showed up.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk but that fact that it says "ASSIST" and "SOS" above the slits didn't give you an inkling as to what they were for? I thought you may had found some other set of buttons lol.

You don't sound like a jerk at all. The funny part is the labels show up really well when I have the flash light on, but when I sit in the car in the daylight, I cannot make out what they say, I don't even notice the writing.

I bought mine and no one told us it was there. I had to get a flashlight to see them as well. Thankfully, I did not touch them.
