They're just trying to claim that and fix it with a software flash like what Jeep is doing. I still think it's the batteries that are bad.

It may well be the batteries. Being a firefighter, I do spend time reading about the various battery issues. I do not trust them to be left unattended. Many boaters, particularly sailors, are switching over to large battery banks attached to solar panels for cruising. I just can't imaging having those in a boat on constant charge and being far from shore.
