Is undercoating for new jeep needed?

My new Wrangler arrives at the dealership this week.
Should I have an undercoat applied? I live in Massachusetts and salt/brine is a major concern.

Yes, I Googled it and wow so many threads! I know that this question has come up before on the forum but I wanted more current answers.

I did it or should I say had it done. For me $600 well spent. I am also doing under armor so I figured salt and crap will get up in there.

I live in STL and i applied POR15 to my frame, crossmembers, skids and everything else that i could get to. I've never done it before, but wanted to have a chance at minimizing rust from the start. In my opinion, it's a good idea at the least, especially if you live in a "rusty" area....at least a piece of mind.

Toronto here. I did dealer lifetime rust and undercoat. Been solid.
