I have a 5.7Ram that makes noise on start sometimes. It’s a lifter noise for about 2-3 seconds

Mine has ~30k miles now. I get the squeaky noise, but not the knock. It might be fine, but I'd take it to the dealer just to get it on record in case it turns into a bigger thing later (post warranty).

Mine makes that same tick which subsides almost immediately. I've had many engines which made that same noise until the oil reached all of the components.

Don't think thats a rod, you would really know it. More like lifter/valvtrain something. Sort of normal these days.

Try a can of lucas viscosity modifier. Made mine quite.

If it was a rod knock it would be loud. And mostly all the time. You probably have a lifter noise till oil pressure builds up. Many do this. Mine does but not every cold start

Sounds like what happened to my 2017 ram 5.7L. Believe it was a cracked manifold or cracked manifold bolt. Should be warranty. Do some reading online on exhaust manifolds on Hemis to arm yourself when you go back to the dealer

I think thats just lifters oiling up, not rod knock.

To help the lifters, try a can of lucas low viscosity modifier, it stops the lifter tick.

This is rod knock
