Hello everyone,

I'm Rob and I reside in Ammon, ID. I been here educating myself on the new JL Wrangler. I have had two previous TJ's and have been missing the Wrangler experience for about 8 years now. Starting this fall I hope to re-enter this world full time with a 2019 two door Rubicon.

Hi all,
Jerry from central Iowa. In the past 20+ years I have had a 90 YJ, a 94 YJ and a 97 TJ. Recently bought a 2000 TJ as a project and have decided a JL is in my near future.

HI everyone,

I am new to the forum, and I ordered my first Jeep on January 31st. I have had the bug since I was a kid, but I spent all my time on motorcycles and other vehicles.

Looking forward to getting the new toy, and posting some images as I build it out. Can't wait to start exploring here in Atlanta, as well as taking it offload in North Georgia.

Hello,

Last Friday I traded in my 05 LJ in for a JLU Sport S. Very happy with the new Jeep. So much more comfortable than the LJ and with the 2 extra doors it's easier with the kids.

The JLU is my 7th Jeep and my wife has WK2 Limited.

Hey all,

I've been coming here for updates for about 6 months now, and figured I would go ahead and introduce myself. I'm looking to purchase a JL this summer. I'm still commuting over 400 miles a week and didn't want to purchase it only to put a ton of miles on it so quickly lol. All that should come to an end here by july though. Currently driving a patriot, its done its job for commuting, I don't particularly hate it but I don't love it for sure. Previously i've owned an XJ, which was fun. I look forward to picking up a JL and putting the top down and enjoying the air and backroads.

Tony

Greetings! I'm new to the forum, just wanted to check in and say hi. I don't have a JL yet, but it won't be long. I'm a little late to the party, but I still plan on ordering a 2018 JL.

I started my Jeep journey with a 97 TJ about 20 years ago. I drove that beast for over a decade before selling it to a friend. My wife said I needed a grown up car, so I got a 4 door JK :) I currently drive a 2015 JKUR Hard Rock. I kind of went all out because I figured I would keep it forever. I figured it would be one of the last model years before FCA royally boogered up the wrangler with their redesign.

Boy was I wrong. So I've fully engorged myself on every bit of info I can find about the JL, and now I can't wait to trade in my precious JK like it was yesterday's Hyundai. Checking blue book values it's been heartening to see that the wrangler really does hold its value. Plus I took great care of it.

Really excited to get my order in and start truly salivating over the glorious machine they're going to build for me in Ohio!

Cheers

Hey everyone! Been a long time lurker of all things Wrangler for about 2 years now. Ordered a 2017 Granite Crystal Rubicon back in 2016 and had some life things happen so I had to postpone my buy. Now I'm better situated but not where I want to be. I ditched the BMW 328d today for a 2018 JLU Sport S. I was reallll tempted to get one of the JLURs on the lot today but seeing as it's my first Wrangler I figured I'd live with the Sport S, get my feet wet and then in a couple years upgrade... also excited to see what "enhancements" are made on the JL line over the next couple years.

Hi fellow Jeepers!

I've had a variety of used Jeeps for 30 years, most of which were too big or unreliable to drive more than 60 miles from home without a toolbox.... http://www.fourwheeler.com/features/0012or-2000-jeep-cj5/

After the wife's bout with breast cancer last year (she is doing well now) figured it's time to treat us to a brand new JL Rubicon. Ordered it in mid Feb and am going to surprise her with it. Life can be short, enjoy it while you can!

Love all the info you guys pass along. Thanks!

2018 Jeep JLUR, Silver, 2006 TJ (for sale)
Hi Jeepers, (wave), greetings from the “Left Coast”
I’ve owned a few Jeeps, I had the last year of the CJ, 1985 & the last year of the TJ which I own now, 2006. I almost bought a JK hardrock last year. Thanks to Wrangler Forum I caught wind of the JL. I decided to start at the beginning of production this time. Just ordered a billit silver Rubicon with pretty much everything on 2/26. Talked to my dealer today and he told me the price change would not effect my price. I retired this year from the fire service after 37 years and this jeep will see the country on many road trips.
Thank you for putting all the information in one place. I know the information on this site saved me a lot of money & made me a JL expert at the dealers. I emailed 47 California dealers, then I thought my phone was going to explode. Got $1,200 below invoice and pretty close to home in San Luis Obispo. Should get it perfect time for topless weather.

Can’t wait for the JL! Thank you.

Graeme in Colorado. Just bought my first Jeep, a JLU Sport 4door. So far, it's a ton of fun!

Mine came with... not much at all. Stock sport + rear diff d44 + 8-speed auto + rubber floor mats. And that's it. I'm actually loving the bare-bones-ness of it so far. Manual lock, manual windows, soft top. It gets me around, and that's all I want it to do. Had a 60-degree day yesterday and driving it top-down around some back roads was a blast.

Planning on seeing if I can get some Rubi tires from the local dealership (LT285/70r17 KO2) since it seems folks are buying Rubicons and immediately upgrading their tires, and I keep hearing good things about KO2. Going to try it out without regearing initially, and based on performance maybe consider regearing 3.45->3.73.
