Greetings, Jeep lovers. I have driven common, standard, boring (inferior?) vehicles my whole life, but for a while now I have felt the urge to ramble beyond the places where my mountain bike can take me. Call it a mid-life crisis... I will not argue. So, I stepped way out of my comfort zone (Toyota, Honda, etc.) and bought my first Wrangler, a 2025 JLUR, early this summer. It's been a blast, and I'm loving every minute behind the wheel. If only retirement were within striking distance...

Hello all!

Just joined the forum.
Huge Jeep fan and have owned 98 ZJ and '12 WK2.

I sold my 2012 WK2 Limited yesterday in preparation to buy a 2019 or 2020 JLU Sahara (or Rubicon). I have a few questions. I am based in Denver, CO but I am looking all over the country, but I am unsure how to go about inspection/PPI/etc outside of my home area.

I am avoiding 2018 because it is the first model year of refresh. Is this a good decision?

I am also avoiding the snow belt (MN, ND, IL, OH, etc) states including Canada due to rust issues. Is WA okay?

I see a lot of them having accident reported in CarFax. Should these be avoided? Now sure how I can ask for paperwork that show they were fixed really good.

Anything I should look out for in these two year models?

Finally, any local trusted mechanic who can perform PPI on Jeeps in the Denver area?

Hi everyone new guy 9 Kevin ) with a 2019 2 door Rubicon purchased through Carvana put around 100 miles on and I have been working on it since.
not a dealership bashing thread just saying I did not get what i was promised and I was too in love with the jeep to send it back. It showed up with Frozen rusted brakes, shocks and many simple maintenance items ignored I have been busy de-rusting and fixing her up. I will start another thread to show you what i have been up against, as far a me I am now very recently single ( Wife leaves on Monday ) we have been together since 1999 so yeah it stings but I love her and I hope she finds happiness for the rest of her days. ( so if I sound moody upset etc please give me a wide birth as it wont be easy ) but I have my jeep to keep me occupied.

Hi all, new to the forum and JLs, but certainly not Jeeps. I just picked up a '21 JL Willys Sarge Green, Tan and Black Heritage interior, factory Tan Premium Sunrider top, and a manual transmission. I traded my 75th Anniversary Sarge Green JKU on it. Also in the stable as far as Jeeps is an '05 Willys Edition TJ, an '89 YJ Laredo (Khaki/Tan hardtop), and a '46 CJ2A VEC column-shift. Anyway, looking forward to continued smiles in the JL.
