Howdy from the Dallas Ft. Worth area!
Been looking at a Wrangler for years.
My sister recently grabbed a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and bro-in-law snagged a Dodge Power Wagon.
Hopefully Iโ€™ll be joining in with a new Wrangler purchase, soon.

Greetings from SE Michigan. I'm planning on ordering a JLU in the not too distant future and getting as much info as I can beforehand. I'm not new to Jeeps.. I've wanted one since I was about five years old (1967) and we used to take trips in the mountains out west. I'd see dirt roads and wonder where they led... that's stuck with me all these years. Last year I rented a Wrangler on a trip to Colorado and decided that's what my next vehicle would be. I don't really NEED anything new yet, but they don't exactly give these things away so it makes sense to buy one BEFORE I retire... I told my wife I was going to wait until the Bronco came out before I buy anything but I'm not so sure that's going to happen...

I've never owned a Wrangler but am not new to Jeeps. In the mid '90s I designed OEM exhaust systems for them. Driving test vehicles around led to me buying an XJ. Built to order, two door, 4.0L, 5 speed, I loved that thing but eventually the time came to move on. However my wife is on her third Grand Cherokee now and plans on buying number four in a year or so.

I'd mention what I'm planning on ordering but the details on that change so often it seems a bit silly at this point!

I've been waiting on that Bronco, too. I've been a Ford guy all my life. But I doubt the Bronco will have removable tops and doors. It'll probably have nice electronics, and be peppier if it gets the 2.7 ecoboost. My gf has that in her F150, and my Mustang can't embarrass it. That's a killer motor with a tranny that works great. I really doubt Ford will put themselves way out there and offer something as rugged and purposefully old school as the Wrangler. Hope I'm wrong, but I really doubt it.

Hey everyone, been a lifelong Jeep admirer and now finally a Jeep owner! I figured with the new JLโ€™s having come out and things going my way Iโ€™d jump in and join the family 18โ€™ JLU Sport 3.6L D44HD rear 6-Speed manual. Very excited to join you all and learn along the way! Iโ€™ll be sure to share what I pickup!

Hey everyone, bought my first Jeep, a 2018 JLUR about 7 months ago. I waited patiently for TeraFlex to release their lift and last weekend I finally made time to install it. This forum has been a wealth of knowledge for a DIY person like me. Today I mounted some Method 305s wrappers in 37โ€ Cooper STT Pros. Iโ€™m finally ready to show her off. Itโ€™s snowing like crazy here in AK but I grabbed some photos of the beast. When it stops snowing, Iโ€™ll take a few better ones.

Hello from northwest Arkansas. My first Wrangler is on order and built. Just waiting for it to arrive. Had a first year Grand Cherokee back around '92/93 and loved it. Rented a Wrangler a couple times in Aruba and loved it both times. Scared my wife a bit the first time with some mild wheeling but I had a blast. Have been enamored since but just recently pulled the trigger on getting one.

Hey everybody. I'm John and this is my first Jeep. I've always been a sports car guy and the customization is part of the big draw to those cars - making them my own, tastefully (and, uh, going fast). I got tired of the snow being a pain in the ass and decided to pull the trigger on a JL. Couldn't be happier. I miss the speed, but I have a motorcycle when I get the itch.

I've done a few boring mods - exhaust, footwell lights to match the Rubi Red, tinted windows, drilled ammo cans to the gate, etc. Just ordered my lift kit and we'll see how long I can hold off until I buy 37's.

First time Jeep owner (first time American vehicle owner for that matter). JL Sport 2-door in Billet Silver. Loving it so far - even getting used to the manual locks and windows. Opted for the 4 cyl turbo (fuel economy) and auto transmission (Virginia traffic). Right at 23 mpg in mostly city driving so far since driving off the lot. Very impressive.

First car was a 1973 FJ40 Landcruiser, followed by econo sedans - figure I've come full circle and I'm happy I'm here.

Yes 3.5 with 2.1 shocks. Itโ€™s a lot taller than it looks in the pictures.
Cool looks great. I was asking because it does look like a 3'5" lift. I have the same shocks as you and was thinking of replacing the 2.5" with those springs you have.

Hi everyone! Just joined the site today and just signed paperwork on my first wrangler! Been debating one for years but the JL put me over the edge. Got a 18 MOAB, black on black, with tow package, cold weather, and dual top that I'll be picking up hopefully on Saturday (getting from another dealer so weather tomorrow will determine if Saturday or Monday). Will def post pics once I pick it up!

Dan here, owner of a 79' CJ-7 (past: 04' Rubicon and an 84' CJ-7). I'm on the Gladiator forum, as that is the next vehicle I will buy, but it's not carrying over my login details once I select a thread so I ended up registering here with the same username and email. I've got questions for the JLU guys.
