  4. 2018 JL Wrangler Sport 2 Door Billet Silver

Hi all, looking to sell my 2 door soft top Sport in Billet Silver. Perfect condition. Less than 1300 miles. Has the 4 cyl and 8 speed auto. Never taken off-road. Purchased new in November from Tysons Corner Jeep in Northern Virginia. Selling because the front seat bolsters are killing my right...
  5. Unexpected side effect from adding Christmas wreath to grill

Just added a Xmas wreath to the grill of my 2 door. Shortly after, I drove my son to an appointment. Once I reached about 35 mph, the top of my soft top started fluttering. It immediately caught my attention since I’ve been so impressed with how quiet the soft top is, exhibiting minimal wind...
  6. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

    Added Mopar side steps.
  7. Bucket seats causing significant discomfort - seat modification called for?

That was definitely my first thought. Tried one memory foam cushion that didn't work very well, but trying out a bunch of cushions is surely going to be more cost effective than modifying the seat.
  8. Bucket seats causing significant discomfort - seat modification called for?

Hello all, First time Wrangler owner and am loving the experience, except for the bucket seats. The bolsters on the seat are pushing against my hips and also possibly turning them inwards since I'm essentially sitting on the inner edge of the bolsters. After doing some research, it appears that...
  9. Question regarding the Windsheld defrost

Good to know, thx. It's pretty thick, but I was still wondering if it would be heavy enough. I also stopped in at Home Depot. They have heavy duty, rubber stair treads that I thought might work, but I figured I'd give the mouse pad a try first. I also considered gluing the mouse pad strip to...
  10. Question regarding the Windsheld defrost

Just purchased an extra long mouse pad at Office Depot. I'll post pics once I've cut it to size and put it in place.
  11. Question regarding the Windsheld defrost

I contacted my local service department (Koons Jeep in Tysons Corner, VA) and asked if any other customers had reported the issue with the windshield defrost. The manager said he was unaware of any other complaints. He also said that in the absence of a TSB, if everything appeared to be working...
  12. Question regarding the Windsheld defrost

Windshield started fogging up on the passenger side this evening, even with the defroster on. Tossed some heavy gloves on the center vent, and sure enough, I started getting airflow out of the side vents.
  13. Gas mileage so far

Sport 2 door with auto and 4 cyl. using 91 octane. Mileage since last fill up was probably 80/20 city/highway. Dash said 25.6 mpg. Reality when dividing miles driven by gallons added = 21.6. Still happy with that but demonstrates the wild optimism of the vehicle’s estimate.
  14. M.O.R.E. Dead Pedal install tip

Just installed the dead pedal last night. First obstacle was that none of my Allen wrenches fit the head of the bolt which attaches the pedal to the plate (annoying!). I ended up jamming a flat head screw driver tip into the head which was sufficient. Based on all the horror stories I read...
  15. OMG: After 10 days and 1,500 miles and these two things happen

Same problems here. Thanks for posting. Now I don't feel alone...
  16. Soft top only folks- any regrets?

Zero regrets. Been below 30 degrees already this fall and within a minute or two I’m more than warm enough. At 70 mph on the highway I have the radio between 10-12 volume and can hear it just fine. Two complaints: back window as others have said, and the gutter that drips rain into the footwell...
  17. Getting used to the different steering feel

Started driving my family to PA for the holiday weekend last night in my wife’s Honda CRV. Within a few minutes I commented to my wife, as we were driving down a long straight road, that the ride sure felt different than my Jeep. She asked how and I said that it felt like the CRV was rocking...
  18. Members old and new -- check in and wave hello!

First time Jeep owner (first time American vehicle owner for that matter). JL Sport 2-door in Billet Silver. Loving it so far - even getting used to the manual locks and windows. Opted for the 4 cyl turbo (fuel economy) and auto transmission (Virginia traffic). Right at 23 mpg in mostly city...
