Hi everyone!

Kevin here from NY. My first Wrangler, and so far it's great! 2022 Willy's Sarge Green, Diesel Turbo. An amazing truck!

Hi Everyone! Mark from AZ. Been lurking these forums for a while. Had a Grand Cherokee a few years back and hated it. If they would have had the diesel wrangler back then I would have went with that. Going to get my order in before they stop making them. Sadly will be parting with my BMW X3M to get my dream Jeep but well worth it!

Hello, Kevin checking in. I’ve been away from the Jeep game for a bit (owned a few in my younger years, nothing newer than the TJ…) I recently got my 23 Willys XR, and I’m loving it so far! I never thought I’d have a 4 door, an automatic or a lift and tires I didn’t do myself… Times change however, and it’s awesome to see that the online Jeep family is still amazing. Looking forward to getting back into the woods and the Jeep community!

Hello, wanted to stop in and say Hello to all and really looking forward to becoming a part of the Jeep community.

This is my first Jeep! Was thinking of the 392 Rubicon but after driving the 3.6L with the Extreme Recon package didn't really see the need as this performs great as is. I'm 56yrs old now, so looking to enjoy my new toy at a 'slightly' slower pace.

That said, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday yesterday!

I haven't seen this thread since I have been posting but I'll toss in another pic of myself. 2nd Jeep and a lifelong convert to these awesome machines. Name is Simon and live in East Mesa AZ. Haven't gone wheeling yet aside from curb hopping through parking lots to find the best spot ;) Mine spends more time on pavement delivering materials and ladders to job sites.

Nice looking Rubicon there, love the White, which is typically the color vehicle I tend to get as you just can't go wrong with White, but found this all Black Rubicon and figured I'd try something different.

I noticed that your from Mesa, AZ and @Old Dogger is from Cave Creek, AZ. I currently live North of Chicago and have been thinking of moving out to AZ as these COLD Winters are really starting to take their toll on me. A co-worker of mine moved out there last year from just West of Chicago to an area just a tad South of Mesa if I'm not mistaken, I don't recall the town off hand, but it I believe it was just South of Mesa, AZ and he loves it there and has been trying to get me to sell and move out there since he got there.

Thanks! We generally always buy white vehicles. It's not due to the sun, but rather they seem to hide dirt better along with defects! Growing up I had a toy chevy 2 door impala that was white with red interior. This Rubicon just takes me back to those great memories. I think black is a great color on almost any vehicle but looks especially better on a Jeep. We had a rented black Chevy Cavalier with grey interior years ago and did a temp test on the interior. Between that and a friends white car with tan interior, both vehicles with windows rolled up only had a difference of 7º. Negligible in my book. We did crack an egg on the cavalier hood (Heck, it was a rental why not experiment?!) but the egg rolled off the hood. Despite what many expect, we could not make breakfast on the car...

Your co-worker may have moved to Gilbert which is south of us and further south is Queen Creek. We've been here almost 22 years from NYC. Awesome state to live in even during the summer as long as you do not need to work outside! Climate is dry but can be similar to putting a hair dryer on high and blowing it into your face. That's the best description you can get. If you can muster that, then you will do well here. It's been a very good state for us business wise. My advice is to do what we did and come out here quarterly, spend a couple of weeks each time if you can and it will give you a flavor of what to expect. Winters are mild with temps that can drop into the 20's at night (not every year it does go that low) along with day time winter temps in the high 50's to low 70's.
