Interior Lighting w Soft Top

What are you guys doing for dome and cargo lighting after removing the hard top and installing a soft top? Didn't really think about it until I just sat down and started planning my camping trips for the summer. Provide some pics if you have them.

Look into velcro hanging straps to hang hooks off your roll bars and soft top bars. Then hang USB rechargeable backpacking mini lanterns from them. They're also good for hanging larger gear as well.

I prefer this to any permanently wired solution because they're easily moved and adjusted as needed, both within and outside of the Jeep. When it comes to camp gear, versatility goes a long way.

You'll use these in the reverse of how they're demonstrated. Velcro to bar as a place to clip/hook something onto it. This is a sample, there are many different types.

Then simple battery powered backpacking lanterns hook onto them such as these. Again, there are many different types to choose between.

I only have a soft top. The dome light and map lights built into the speaker bar have always been plenty of light for me.

I use some of those Harbor Freight LED lights with the hook on them in the cargo area. I just hang a few on the soft top bars. I also have a rechargeable portable LED lantern I take with me. I keep it simple and cheap.. There's always the cargo light in the sport bar too.

What’s wrong with the stock lights on the roll bar? I have a hard top and there are no lights on the top itself.

I see you've never filled the back of a Jeep with overlanding/camping gear on a moonless night. The dome light on the sound bar is way too far forward to see things clearly from the open tailgate. Everything is in shadows. And the tiny cargo area side light is almost always blocked by stuff.

I have a 2-door that's 2 feet shorter than OP's JLU and I still recognize the obvious need for additional camp lighting back there. IYKYK.

Tap lights are a simple cost effective solution. Can be stuck anywhere and easily moved/removed. ?‍

OP specifically asked about camp lighting. We campers know exactly what the problem is with the OEM interior lights. The sound bar light is for the seats and insufficient for any sort of camp tailgating.
