Was going to take my JLR to town today but my wife said, let’s take my car (‘22 Grand Wagoneer). I needed to stop by the dealer to pick up fuel filters for my 2500 and as I was walking away, my wife motions me back. She says, ask Tom (sales manager/friend) what he has to trade for.
Sales manager bull pen is right on the way to the parts counter so I told Tom, my wife is surprisingly wanting to trade. He says he has just the right vehicle. He jumps up and takes off. After I visited the parts department, I walk outside and Tom has a ‘23 20A setting next to my wife’s car. Tom said the guy who ordered it backed out earlier that morning. 2 hours later, it’s in our garage. This is our 8th Wrangler in 35 years of marriage and hopefully the last. By far the best though! The engineers get an A+ for quality of sound on start up. My wife giggles like a school girl every time she starts it……..

Congrats. Been trying to talk my wife into a new JLUR. We shall see. Drove mine yesterday and liked how high it sat.

Pics please! I have a Silver Z 20th Anniversary on order. Due for delivery at the end of this month. I have to give up my ‘23 3.0 diesel and am very undecided about that. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I’m out of town for a couple weeks but I’ll have my wife take a few pictures.

I’ve owned two 3.0 diesel’s. One in a Jeep GC and one in a 1/2 ton. I’ve driven a Rubicon with the 3.0 diesel and really liked it but the 392 is perfectly mated with the 35” tires, 4.56 gears and the 8 speed automatic. Plus the sound!!! I know it’ll only get 1/2 the mileage of the diesel but we didn’t buy it for fuel efficiency.
We live in hill country and cruising 75 mph, not once did it drop out of 8th gear on the steepest incline.
I would have never ordered silver but seeing it in person absolutely changed my thoughts on it. Jeep tastefully combined it with all the accent colors so much so my wife is forbidding me to touch it other than what you cannot see.

I checked caster and drivers side has 4 1/2 degrees, passenger side 5 degrees. Lower control arms are only 24” eye to eye. I’ll buy adjustable lowers and get the caster out to 6 degrees. No lift though as this Jeep is about perfect from the factory.

Here’s a picture of the oil pan. I read a lot about it hanging down, this one is pretty tucked up.

Some of the '21's oil pans hung down very low and were aluminum. The newer ones, like yours, are steel and tuck up much better!
