Really helpful info. Thank you!
Best my CU in LA could do was 3.75 with auto pay and that’s based on me being a new member, non profession based, 780 credit score...

Anybody know if your are contractually obligated to stay on Chrysler financing for 6 months before you refi?

This is from an LA dealer. Not necessarily for Chrysler.

We'd be happy to assist you on the financing, we are a large dealer with a large amount of Banks/Credit Unions so we rates are not an issue. You can technically refinance at any time but would have a pre payment penalty if done in the first 90 days. After 90 days, no fees or penalties whatsoever.

Screw that! Go outside the state. All you need is a 750+ to get a good rate. I do have an account with USAA. I just told them what I could get it for not that I had necessarily applied. That was good enough for them to shop it and buy it down from another lender. Hell I heard Costco is the biggest car dealer now!

USAA best rate currently is 2.99% for 72 months if using autopay (.25) and purchasing through USAA buying service (.50). Their buying service doesn’t seem that great. For a mostly loaded JLUR sticker priced at $52,000 the average savings was $2000 below MSRP. So buying on your own and using them for financing with auto pay your rate would be 3.24% up to 72 months with good credit.

Gone up since I bought mine in March. All you have to have is the certificate. You can work your own deal after that. You are limited to dealers but if you change the zip code in the search, you can find others. Mine was ordered so the price was agreed upon before it got here. Mine stickered for $52+. Paid $48 and some change.

My rates have always been around 2% or less with excellent credit. Shop around.

Does it matter how much down you put? I'm putting 20K down on a 34k vehicle and i'm noticing the interest goes higher the lower the amount financed. Kind of annoying.
