Can anyone who has the ability to look at intercooler/charge air cooler temps tell me what they normally see. I finally started looking at mine and they are really hot compared to what I see with my other diesels. They easily got up over 200F driving normally with ambient air being 73F. Most of my other diesels stay within 20F of ambient.

Looking at the location of the intercooler, it is not out front like my other diesels and is tucked behind the trans cooler. This is a very stupid place to put an intercooler. Just wondering if this is normal or I may have a boost leak or restriction problem.

It’s behind the condenser and it pretty large from top to bottom and side to side 200f is normal on these engines
I installed larger pipes from age and have wrapped the pipes with heat wraps I will be wrapping the downpipe as well as much as I have access to

Thanks! I think I may have found the issue. My torque app only picks up one sensor and apparently there are two. Started watching all the available sensors through Jscan and it picked up another. Likely one is pre intercooler and the other one is after intercooler. The post sensor never got past 20F ambient. This makes me feel a lot better.

I added those PIDS to my iDash and was seeing similar to what you showed. ~70° ambient, about +15°-20° on sensor2, and about 2x - 2.5x on sensor 1

Any chance you have a link for those PIDS? I couldn't find them....

On iDash they’re all under the temperature category:

Ohhh I think I’m following- that image is from their PIDs documentation on the web. The iDash shows the first bit when you’re monitoring them:
