Clarification about "tow" packages ...

"Trailer Tow and Heavy-Duty Electrical Group" so your Jeep can tow something:

versus ...

"RV Tow Harness by Mopar" so your jeep can be towed:

I misunderstood the former and wish I had ordered it. I don't expect to be doing much towing but it would like to have the Aux switches. (I know I can install these myself but would have been nice just to get them from the factory)

The "Trailer Tow Pkg" is for when you TOW the Jeep behind a truck, RV or what ever.

Here is my window sticker on my 2024 JLR and you will note I have the 7 pin connector and all the rest of that, first column last entry and its NOT "Trailer Tow Pkg" nor is that anywhere on my window sticker...

Im pretty sure the trailer tow package is the entire package for towing a trailer behind the jeep on models which do not come standard with the package, (hitch, wiring, aux switches, etc).

The "towed" package for towing behind an RV cannot currently be ordered from the factory installed.

It would be listed as RV TOW HARNESS.

I literally just had mine installed today.

What aftermarket camera did you install and what are you using for the display? I want to add one to my TRX but I can't find anything suitable.

Maybe times have changed since I ordered mine on 15 May and my sales guy asked me what kind of an RV did I have "Trailer Tow Pkg" on the option list. When I answered I did not have one he asked why I was ordered the Tow package....WHAT? I don't need that and if you look at my window sticker you do not find it on there, yet I have the hook up as I pointed out to you the last item in the first column and it does not say "Trailer Tow Pkg"....riddle me that!


I just looked it up, the option has changed its name, its now "RV Tow Harness by Mopar". My bet is to many folks ordered "Trailer Tow Pkg" and did get what they thought they were getting...

My brand new 2024 Sahara with the tech group came with the front camera.

Just curious, how are your cameras at night? I never had a problem with my '19 JLU, but my 2024 both the front and rear cameras are horrific at night - static and grainy, almost unusable. Can't tell if it is just mine or systemic problem, daytime they are crystal clear.

Rear camera was somewhat grainy but viewable/usable, front camera with head lights on was very clear.
