Hey group, after much ocd obsessing I will be picking up a new Warn Zeon XD 10s, Warn mount, mopar fairlead adapter and lastly a Factor 55 Flatlink E ( in gray to match the gray on the Rubicon grille ) for my 25 Rubicon. I already removed the bumper tonight. And tips on the install ? I dont really want to pull the grille im planning on pulling the airbox and running the wires underneath. Thank you

Super easy to pull grill and makes it easier. Literally a 1 minute job.

If there is any chance at all the winch will make removing the grill difficult in the future, do this 10 minute mod. When I needed my radiator replaced under warranty the dealership wanted to charge me $200 to remove my winch and aftermarket bumper to get the grill pulled off. Luckily I had dfollowed the advice of @Tech Tim in this @Northridge4x4 video and they were able to remove the grill without removing the winch and bumper.

If you remove 3 bolts you can prop the air filter box up and route the winch wiring underneath the air box without removing it. I added fire resistant wire loom and used a couple of clamps to secure the cables at the front of the battery tray for good measure. Just ignore the dirt in that pic that was taken a while after the install,

I watched that video and in my grille video, when I was doing this, I figured out an easier way than cutting. Just grab them with some needle nose and a quick twist. Snaps off pretty clean.

You guys removed parts?
I sheathed the wires in plastic wire loom, and ran them up between the plastic fender shield and the grille/ fender. Then secured them with Zip ties, and went right to the battery. Super easy, took 10 minutes.

I do need to get a winch interrupt kit though.

I didn’t pull the grill, I also didn’t move the air box. I was able to get the wires up and into the proper location of the engine bay with a fish tape. Super easy job.

I love the factory steel bumper. I can tell you once that 10s winch is installed the grill is never coming off again unless you want to damage the paint. I cut the tabs and it still won't come off easy.

not on 24 and up...I pull my grill with no issues...and makes it much easier running wires.. there are 6 push pins holding and it just unclips...no need to trim anything on the grill like about shows. also being an old drunk I find it easier to remove things that trying to fight with getting stuff around them. takes literally a minute to pull the grill and the same for pulling the air box and makes it simple..but I know we all have our own way of doing things so no right or wrong.

Tip... .

Make sure the fog light harness doesn't get pinched by the winch mount. Have slack in the wire, double check to make sure it's free and clear before you put the bumper bolts back on.
