This is my first set of aftermarket shocks with exposed shafts. Concerned about shaft damage. What is everyone doing to protect the shafts? Am I making a big deal about nothing?

You can run boots if it makes you feel better. I never do and have never had a shaft issue personally.

Thank for the advice and reply. I would rather not bother with boots or shields. Good to know you have not had any shaft issues.
